Entrepreneurship after your PhD
The journey from being a PhD student to a full time professor is characterized by number of fixed transition points. At each of these points some chose to go on a different path and it is important that you always have this consideration. Only a small percentage of the PhD students can expect to end up in a full time professor position.
It is therefore important that you consider the options that exists outside academia. One of these options exists if your research have some commercial potential – this idea can be the starting point of a new company and thus kick start your career as an entrepreneur.
